First Vietnamese Scholar Wins Taiwan's Astronomy Award
Professor Hoang Chi Thien became the first Vietnamese scholar to win Taiwan's Young Astronomer Lectureship Award.

The Young Astronomer Lectureship Award, co-hosted by Taiwan's National Central University and the Delta Electronics Foundation, has recognized top scholars from leading Western universities for more than a decade. This year, for the first time, the prize went to a Vietnamese scholar: Professor Hoang Chi Thien.
Currently based at the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, Hoang Chi Thien also became the first Vietnamese recipient of the Korean Astronomical Society's Science Award in 2022.
