For anyone living in Vietnam, WinMart is hard to avoid. Fresh groceries, daily essentials — the chain dominates the market. And its latest numbers are turning heads.

In Q4 2024, WinMart earned more than VND 200 billion and posted double-digit same-store sales growth across its supermarkets. The new WinMart+ Rural format, targeting smaller towns, was a standout performer with 12.5% growth.

▍ Rapid Expansion

WinMart's aggressive expansion is a key driver. By end of 2024, the chain operated 3,828 stores nationwide — 95 more than the previous quarter, roughly two new stores per week. Inventory management also improved sharply, with the cash conversion cycle shrinking to just 14 days.

▍ 2025 Outlook

For 2025, WinMart plans to add 400 to 700 new stores. Membership programs and personalized promotions should keep customers coming back and margins growing. With ambitions like these, WinMart's grip on Vietnam's retail throne looks firm.
